Om Sai Mobile Shoppe

Om Sai Mobile Shoppe sits right on Bhosarigoan Parle Road, which is always a bit noisy with the traffic passing by. We opened this place because there were so many people around here needing help with their phones. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with glass cases and racks for chargers and earphones. The floor gets dusty pretty fast because of the road outside, so we’re always sweeping. Most of the day is spent looking at small screens and trying to figure out why a battery isn't holding a charge or why a speaker stopped working. It can be quite frustrating when the parts don't arrive on time. We usually have a radio playing in the corner to keep things from being too quiet when no one is around. Customers often come in with cracked screens and they are usually in a hurry. We do what we can with the tools we have. Sometimes the tea seller from next door brings us a cup and we take a five-minute break on the bench outside. It’s a simple business. We don’t have fancy uniforms or big signs with flashing lights. The signboard has faded a bit in the sun, but people still find us. We just focus on getting the repairs done so people can get back to their lives. It’s just how things are run here on Parle Road every single day without much fuss or any big changes.
