Om Sai Foods

Our food shop is located in Hadapsar, inside the Nutan Patidar Society at Vallabh Vadi 365. It is a small place but we keep it very busy throughout the day. We focus on making snacks that people can grab on their way to work or take home for tea time. The kitchen is right behind the counter, so you can always hear the sound of things frying or the stove clicking. We use a lot of flour and spices, and by the end of the day, there’s usually a thin layer of dust on everything that we have to wipe down. My wife spends most of her time in the back preparing the dough while I stay out front to talk to the customers. We don't have a menu with a hundred items, just a few things that we know how to make well. The Vallabh Vadi area is quite lively and we have a lot of regulars who come in every single day for their favorite snack. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected and have to close the shutters a bit early. We don't use any fancy packaging, just plain bags and paper. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but we like being part of the community here in Hadapsar. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and the building has become like a second home to us.
