Om General Store

Om General Store is a small family-run business here in Pune. We are located right in the 411001 zip code area, which is a busy part of the city. We’ve been around for several years now, and our shop is basically a part of the daily routine for people living nearby. We don't have a fancy storefront or big neon signs. It’s just a simple door that leads into a room filled with shelves of groceries, household items, and little things you realize you need at the last minute. The shop can be a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but nobody seems to mind. We know most of the families in the neighborhood and have seen their kids grow up over the years. It’s the kind of place where you can come in and talk about the local news while we bag up your items. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just rely on the fact that people know where we are and that we’ve been here forever. Sometimes the delivery van is late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow for their favorite biscuits. That's just how it goes with a small shop like ours. We work long hours, from early morning until late at night, making sure we are there when someone needs a liter of milk or some matches. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours. We don't try to be anything we aren't.
