Old Is Gold Batteries

We have been here at Mangalwar Peth Main Road 217 for quite a long time now. The shop is called Old Is Gold Batteries and we mostly spend our days dealing with heavy lead units and acid refills. It gets pretty noisy outside with the traffic on the main road but we just keep our heads down and do the work. Most people stop by because their car won't start or their home backup system finally gave out. It is not a very fancy place to look at. The floor usually has some dust and the shelves are crowded with different sized black boxes. We do a lot of heavy lifting and our hands are usually a bit stained by the end of the day. There are no sales pitches here because a battery either works or it does not. We know most of the other shopkeepers around this part of Mangalwar Peth and sometimes we grab tea together when things are slow. The sign out front is a bit faded from the sun but everyone knows where we are. We keep a basic set of tools for testing voltages and cleaning up terminals. It is steady work that keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the heat makes the batteries act up more so we get a rush of people during the summer months. We just try to get everyone back on the road or get their lights back on at home.
