Nokia Priority

Our place is in Vadgoensheri, near the Zilla Parishad at 228 A. It has the Nokia Priority name, though things in the mobile world have changed quite a bit since we first opened the doors. The shop is a clean, quiet space compared to the busy street outside. We have the usual glass counters and some stools for people to sit on while they wait for their phones to be looked at. Vadgoensheri has grown a lot, and we see all kinds of people coming in from the nearby offices and homes. Most of the work involves software updates, battery replacements, or fixing cracked screens that happen way too often. We have a small technician's bench at the back with a magnifying lamp and soldering irons. It’s a bit of a slow process sometimes, but we try to be careful with the tiny screws. We aren't part of some big corporate office; we are just the local guys who handle the phones in this specific building at 228 A. The Zilla Parishad landmark helps people find us when they are lost. We don't use any complicated jargon when we talk to customers; we just tell them what’s wrong and how long it might take. It's a straightforward way of running things. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood, which makes the days go by a bit faster.
