Njoy Snacks & Chinese

Over in New Panvel Sakinaka, at 2/15/A, you will find Njoy Snacks & Chinese. It is one of those places that has a bit of everything on the menu. We have the big woks that make a lot of noise when we are tossing the food around. The smell of ginger and soy sauce usually hangs around the entrance. The area around 2/15/A is quite industrial and busy, so we get a lot of workers coming in during their breaks. The plastic chairs we have aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job for a quick snack. We have some posters on the wall that have faded over time, and the floor is a bit uneven in places. It is a very local kind of spot where nobody really cares about the decor. We just focus on getting the orders out as fast as we can. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit and we have to use flashlights to see what we are doing, but we don't let it stop us. It is a bit of a rough-and-ready operation, but that is how things are in this part of Sakinaka. We know most of the people who come in by their first names or at least by what they usually order. It is just a small part of the neighborhood where people can grab something to eat without any fuss. We stay open late because that is when people are hungriest.
