Nilesh Bhople

This is Nilesh Bhople. My place is at A 13 in the Gurudattakrupa society over in Dhankawadi. Pune has changed a lot since I was a kid, with more buildings and traffic, but this neighborhood still feels the same in a way. I’m over in Mohan Nagar, at S. No. 35 3. It’s a quiet enough spot for me to get my work done without too many distractions. I don't have a team of fifty people. It’s just me and the tasks I have for the day. I started this because I wanted to work for myself and not have a boss. Some days it’s great, other days I wonder why I didn’t just take a regular desk job somewhere else. But then I have a cup of tea and I get back to it. The address is 411043 if you’re looking at a map of the area. Maharashtra is a big place but Pune feels like the right size for what I’m doing. I don’t spend money on billboards or radio ads. I just talk to people and if they like what I do, they tell their friends or family. That’s how it’s always worked for me since the beginning. The society where I’m based is full of families, so there’s always noise from kids playing outside in the evenings, but I don’t mind. It keeps things from feeling too lonely while I’m working on things. I just try to be fair and honest with everyone who comes by the door.
