Nikkkai Electronics

You can find Nikkkai Electronics over in Narayan Peth at 585. This part of the city is always crowded with people buying books and clothes, but we are tucked away doing our own thing with circuits and boards. I have been working with electronics since I was a kid, so opening this place felt like the right move. We have a lot of components in little plastic drawers that line the walls. It takes a lot of patience to find the right resistor sometimes. The lighting in here is very bright because you need to see the tiny connections clearly. We don't have any fancy displays or marketing posters on the walls. Mostly it is just technical charts and maybe a calendar from three years ago that nobody took down. People bring in all sorts of gadgets that have stopped working. Sometimes it is just a loose wire and other times the whole thing is fried. We tell them what we think and what it will cost. It is a very honest way to earn a living. The neighborhood is loud but once you step inside the shop, it gets a bit quieter. We just focus on the soldering iron and the task at hand. It is not a glamorous job but it keeps the mind sharp and the hands busy most of the time. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Pune, we just like doing the work.
