New Sanmitra Transport

New Sanmitra Transport is situated at 33/34 Bhawani Peth. We are part of the Consumer Highway Coperative Operator area. It is a very industrial and practical part of the city where everything is about moving goods from one place to another. There are always big trucks parked nearby and the smell of diesel is just part of the daily life here. We have a small office where we keep track of all the loads and where the trucks are supposed to be going. It is a lot of shouting sometimes to be heard over the noise of the engines and the highway traffic nearby. Bhawani Peth is a real hub for transport so we are surrounded by people who do the same kind of work. We spend our days filling out forms and talking to the loaders and the drivers who are passing through. It is not a clean or quiet job but it is an important one. We have a couple of benches where the drivers sit and wait for their paperwork to be ready. Sometimes things get delayed because of a breakdown or a road closure but that is just the transport business for you. We just wait it out and get back to work as soon as we can. It is a busy, dusty place but we have a good system going after all these years of being in the trade.
