New Maharashtra Watch & General Stores

We’ve been here on Sinhagad Road for a long time now. People mostly know us as the place near Anand Nagar for fixing their wristwatches or picking up small things for the house. It's a small shop, but we keep it busy every day. My father started this business years ago and I just took over after I finished my schooling. The shelves are usually a bit crowded with boxes and those tiny watch batteries that always seem to go missing when you need them. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but it's okay because we get a good breeze from the street most of the time. We don't really do big advertising or anything fancy like that because we don't feel it's needed. Most of our customers are neighbors who walk over when their watch stops ticking or they need some general supplies like notebooks, pens, or small household items. I spend most of my afternoon with a magnifying glass over a desk, looking into the back of old watches. It's quiet work mostly, which I enjoy. The traffic outside on the road can get quite loud during the evening rush, but inside it's just the steady sound of many clocks ticking together. We keep a variety of items because you never know what someone might need on their way home from work. It’s not a big showroom, just a regular corner shop where we know most of the faces that come through the door. We open early and stay until the lights on the street come on.
