Our office is located up on the 5th floor of Nav Maharashtra House. Being in Shaniwar Peth means we are right in the middle of everything in this part of town. It is a very old area, so the streets are narrow and always full of people moving around. Getting to number 43 can be a bit of a challenge if you are trying to drive a big car, but most of us are used to the squeeze by now. We have been operating Navcom Industries Ltd from this building for a long time. From our windows, you can see all the rooftops of the old houses and shops nearby. It is a bit of a climb if the lift decides to stop working, which happens every now and then. The office itself is full of stacks of papers and old wooden desks. We are not really into modern decorations or fancy glass walls. It is more about having a solid place to sit down and get the day's work finished. The staff here has been with us for years. We know each other’s families and what is going on in the local neighborhood. Lunchtime usually means someone bringing snacks or tea from the small shops downstairs on the street. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, even on the days when we have a lot of things to handle. Shaniwar Peth has its own rhythm that we have become part of over the years.
