National Battery

You can find National Battery right on Shankarsheth Road, near Gate No 9. We are at number 13. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and cars passing by all the time, making it pretty loud. Our shop has been here for many years, and it definitely looks like it. There are stacks of old battery casings and new ones all mixed together in the corners. It’s a bit of a greasy job, and our clothes usually have some acid stains on them by the end of the shift. We charge batteries, fix terminals, and sell replacements when things are totally dead. It’s honest work that needs to be done for the community. The air usually smells a bit like sulfur, but you get used to it after the first week of working here. We don't have a fancy waiting room with air conditioning or soft chairs. Usually, customers just stand around or sit on an old plastic chair while we test their battery. We’ve seen all kinds of vehicles come through here, from small scooters to big industrial trucks. It's a small team of us, and we mostly just talk about the work or what’s for lunch that day. We don't do much advertising; people just know we are here by the gate. It's a simple life, keeping the power running for all the local drivers and businesses.
