Nath Mobile

If you come down to Dhanakawadi Sakal Nagar 2, you’ll find Nath Mobile right there near the corner. It’s a small shop, maybe a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once. I spend my time hunched over a workbench with a magnifying glass trying to fix charging ports or replacing screens that people dropped. The light from the window is good in the morning but I have to use a desk lamp once the sun moves behind the taller buildings. I have a lot of plastic bins filled with old parts and cables that I might need someday. Sakal Nagar 2 is a quiet enough area, mostly families who have lived here for a long time. They come in to get their data recharged or to buy a cheap pair of earphones because they lost their old ones. I have a small radio that plays the news while I work, mostly just to have some background noise. The floor is concrete and I try to keep it clean but bits of solder and wire always end up in the corners. I don’t really have a big staff, just a young lad who helps me clean up and runs errands for tea. It’s a steady kind of life, nothing too exciting, but it keeps me busy and I like talking to the regulars who stop by just to say hello.
