Namdev Provision Store

Namdev Provision Store is sitting right on Gokhale Road in Urulikanchan. It’s a pretty straightforward place to find if you are walking down the main stretch. We’ve got bags of grain stacked near the entrance because the natural light is best there for seeing if the grain is good. Most people coming through are locals who live just a few streets away from Gokhale Road. We keep the shop open pretty much all day, from early morning until the sun goes down and then a little later. The road gets quite a bit of dust when big trucks go by, so we’re always having to wipe down the counters with a cloth. It’s a bit of a never-ending job, honestly. We sell all the basics, like sugar, oil, and whatever spices people are looking for. There isn't a lot of space to move around inside, especially since we started keeping more stock in the back. The building itself is old, you can see where the walls have been patched up with cement over the years. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working the counter and helping people carry heavy bags. It gets noisy in the evenings when everyone is out shopping for their meal. We don't really have a big sign, just the name Namdev Provision Store painted on the front. It’s been that way for a long time. People around Urulikanchan know where to find us. It’s just a normal shop, nothing special.
