Naik Hospital

You can find us at 781-782 Laxmi Chhaya in Shukrawar Peth. It’s a well-known building in this part of town. Most people just call it Laxmi Chhaya. Being in Shukrawar Peth means we are right in the middle of everything. The air is always full of the smells from nearby shops and the sound of bells from temples. Inside Naik Hospital, we try to keep things a bit more orderly. We’ve got several rooms and a small area where families wait. It’s a functional space. We don’t have fancy art on the walls or leather sofas. Just chairs and medical equipment. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we know how to work around each other. Every morning starts with a lot of cleaning and setting up for the day’s patients. People come in with all sorts of problems. Some just need a bandage and others are staying for a few days. We keep track of it all in our big ledgers. It’s a lot of writing and talking. Sometimes it feels like the day will never end when there’s a long line of people waiting. But we just take it one person at a time. The building itself has its quirks, like doors that squeak and windows that are hard to open. It adds character to the place. We’re just a local hospital trying to keep the neighborhood healthy without making a big fuss about it. We finish up late and start again early.
