N R Thorat is a small family-run thing based in Ganesh Nagar. We’ve been living and working in this neighborhood for a long time now. People around here know us mostly by name rather than as a big company. We do a bit of everything depending on what the neighbors need at the time. It’s mostly manual work and helping out with local building projects or repairs. The office is really just a spare room in the house where we keep the records and our tools. Ganesh Nagar is a tight community so word of mouth is how most people find out about us. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who have been doing this for years. Sometimes the work takes us to different parts of the city, but we always come back here to finish things up. It’s not a polished business with a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by to see us, you’ll probably find us mid-task or sitting out front having a quick tea break. We try to keep things straightforward with everyone. If a job is too big for us, we just say so. If we can do it, we get it done. It’s a modest way to make a living, but it suits us just fine. The tools are getting old but they still work well enough. We don't see the need for all that corporate talk. We just want to do a decent job and stay busy.
