Musale Hospital

This hospital is tucked away in Bhoir Estate at B/8. It’s one of those buildings that feels like it’s been part of the landscape forever. We handle a bit of everything here. You walk in through the main doors and the first thing you see is the reception desk which is usually piled high with folders. We try to keep things organized, but on busy mornings, it gets a bit cluttered. The hallways are narrow, and sometimes two people have to turn sideways to let a stretcher pass through. We have these heavy curtains in the rooms that have been washed so many times they’ve lost their original color. The estate itself is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it. Sometimes delivery people get lost trying to find our specific block. We’ve got a small garden area out back, though it’s mostly just a few hardy shrubs and a bench where staff go to catch a breath. The air inside always has that faint smell of cleaning fluid and medicine. It’s not a place anyone really wants to spend their time, but we try to make it functional. We spend a lot of our shift just checking charts and making sure the supplies are stocked up. It’s a steady rhythm of work that doesn’t really stop until the shift change happens in the evening when the next group of nurses comes in to take over the desk and handle the overnight calls.
