We have been set up here at Boat Club Road 409 for quite some time now. It is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the rest of the city, which suits us just fine when we are trying to manage the day-to-day operations of T K Ispat. Most of our time is spent looking over stock sheets and talking to people on the phone about iron and steel orders. The office isn't anything you would call modern or fancy, it’s mostly just desks piled with files and a few old chairs for visitors. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with big meetings or presentations. Instead, we just sit around the main table and figure out what needs to go where. There is usually a lot of noise from the street outside, and the tea guy comes by twice a day which is basically the highlight of the afternoon. Dealing with steel means things get a bit messy and the paperwork never seems to end, but we keep at it. Sometimes the logistics get complicated because of the traffic around here, so we spend a lot of time checking clocks and hoping the trucks arrive on schedule. It is a small team and we have known each other for years, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed even when things get busy. We just keep the registers updated and make sure the accounts are settled by the end of the month.
