You can find us over at Plot 10 in Hanuman Nagar. Our building is marked as CTS No. 2290. It’s a plain place, nothing fancy to see from the outside. We work with sugar, mainly moving large quantities around for local use and some further away. The main floor is always covered in a bit of white dust. That's just what happens when you're bagging and weighing sugar all day. We have a small team here. Most of us have been around for several years, so we know how the machines sound and when something needs a bit of oil. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, except when the big trucks arrive to load up. That’s when things get loud and we all have to pitch in to get the gates open and the bags moved. We don’t have a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s just desks, some old files, and a lot of tally marks. During the peak season, we are here late into the night. We check the moisture levels and make sure the bags are sealed right. If something isn't right, it stays here. The local tea shop guys often stop by to chat. We’ve become part of the scenery in Hanuman Nagar. It’s a steady job. We just focus on the sugar and making sure the orders are correct. There is always work to do, and we just keep at it.
