Moms Kitchen

We are tucked away in Shop No 4 at Parvati Heights. It’s right there in Dhamukar Colony, Kothrud. The kitchen isn't very big, so things can get a bit loud when the stoves are going and the exhaust fans are on full blast. We spend most of our morning chopping vegetables and getting the masala ready. It smells like onions, garlic, and ginger here pretty much all day long. Since we are near the 12th Main 4th Cross, we see a lot of people walking by on their way to work or home. Some stop in because they’re hungry and just want something that tastes like a proper meal. We don't have fancy menus or any high-end decor. We just cook what we know how to make. My apron usually has a few stains by noon, but that’s just part of the job when you're busy. The fridge is always humming in the corner and the storage jars are always being refilled. We try to keep the place as clean as we can, though it’s hard when you’re rushing with lunch orders. Sometimes we run out of something popular and have to tell customers we’re sorry. We use regular pots and pans, the same kind you’d have in your own home. People know us at Moms Kitchen for being straightforward and practical. It’s not a big corporate chain. Just a small spot in Kothrud where we keep the heat going and the food moving. We’ve been here a while now, watching the colony change around us while we stay in our little shop. We don’t have much room for sitting, maybe just a couple of stools, but most people take their food to go anyway. It’s a busy little corner of Parvati Heights and we like it that way.
