Mohan General Hospital

Working out here near Kadegaon Station in Daund means we see a lot of travelers and people from the surrounding villages. You can always hear the trains pulling in and out, and that rhythm sort of dictates the pace of our day. The hospital is a general one, so we see a bit of everything, from minor injuries to people feeling quite sick. It’s a basic facility, nothing too grand. We have several beds and a small staff that works pretty hard. Daund can be a busy place because of the railway junction, and we are right in the middle of that movement. The building is sturdy but shows its age in the corners. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly just some notices and health charts. We try to keep the floors clean, but with people coming in from the station, there’s always a bit of dust. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People just know we are here when they need us. Sometimes we stay open late when a late train brings in someone who needs help. It’s a tiring job, but it’s what we do. We’ve become a fixture in the Kadegaon area over the years, just like the station itself. We keep the doors open and do our best with what we have here.
