Down here on the Pune-Satara Road, things can get pretty loud with all the buses going towards Swargate. Our office is at number 26 in the Electronic Co-op Society, which is a bit of a quiet spot once you step off the main road. Modular Infotech Pvt. Ltd. has been around this area for a long time. We mostly deal with software and local language tools, so the office is full of people typing away and debating about where a specific character should go. It’s a cooperative society, so there’s a bit of a community feel to the whole building. We share the space with other small businesses, and you often see people chatting on the stairs during lunch. Our desks are covered in notebooks and those sticky notes that eventually lose their glue and fall off. We aren't fancy people. Most of us take the bus or ride a scooter to get here. The AC in the corner makes a bit of a rattling sound, but it keeps the server room cool enough, so we don't mess with it. When there’s a big deadline, we stay late and order some food from the place down the street. It’s a simple routine. We focus on the code, try to help customers who call in with confusing problems, and make sure the software does what it’s supposed to. It’s just regular work for a regular team in Pune.
