Modern Metal Works

We are at Plot No 18/2 on Range Hills Road. If you see the big BSNL tower, you’re almost at our gate. We do a lot of heavy metal work here. It’s usually loud because of the grinders and the welding machines going all day. The air has that smell of cut steel and sparks, which is something you just get used to. It isn't a clean office with air conditioning. It’s a workshop with concrete floors and high ceilings. I started this place because I've always liked building things with my hands. We make gates, window frames, and sometimes parts for bigger machines used by other businesses. We have a few guys who have been with us for a long time. They know how to handle the heavy stuff without making a fuss. We don't do much talking; we mostly just focus on the drawings and the metal. Sometimes a neighbor will come in with a small broken hinge or a chair that needs a weld. We handle those little jobs too. It’s a bit messy with scrap metal piled in the corners, but we clear it out every so often. We don’t have any marketing brochures or a fancy website. People usually find us because they saw the tower and noticed our sign. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside. We just drink plenty of water and keep the fans on. It's honest work and it keeps us going.
