Mittal Engineering Works Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Gat No. 624/7, right along the Pune-Nashik Highway. We are specifically in the Kuruli area, near Alandi Phata. The highway is always buzzing with cars and trucks going between the two cities. It makes for a lot of noise, but it’s good for getting things shipped out. We do engineering work here, which means there’s a lot of machinery running most of the time. The workshop is a bit cluttered with tools and parts, but that’s just how we work. We have a small crew of mechanics and laborers who have been around for a long time. They know the machines better than anyone. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of life in Kuruli. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in our work shirts, probably covered in a bit of grease. We take our work seriously but we’re pretty relaxed people. The Alandi Phata junction is usually where the traffic backs up, so we tell people to leave a little early if they’re coming to see us. It’s a busy spot, and we’re just one of the many engineering shops trying to get through the daily pile of work.
