Mettle Innovations

We are located in Erandwane, over in the Anand Nagar area. The address is a bit complex with all the numbers—2 15 16 D 7—so we usually tell people to look for the building near the corner. It’s a workspace where we try to build things and come up with new ideas. Some days it’s very productive and other days we just end up scratching our heads over a problem. There are tools and prototypes scattered around on the benches. It’s not the tidiest place, but we know where the important stuff is hidden. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at sketches on the whiteboard. The fans hum overhead because it gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons. Sometimes we stay late when a project is moving along well. We’ve had this space for a bit and it feels like home now. The neighbors are mostly quiet, which helps when we need to concentrate. We don’t really do big presentations or anything like that. Usually, it's just us in our work clothes trying to get a machine to run right or a design to fit. The floor is concrete and has some stains from old projects. We have a small kettle in the corner that’s seen better days. It’s just a place for work. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and see us working on whatever is on the table that day. It keeps our brains busy and the days pass quickly.
