Metro Mobile

You can find Metro Mobile right on the 11th Cross Corner of H Siddiah Road, specifically at number 713/14. Being in Shivaji Nagar means there is never a quiet moment. There are always bikes zooming past and people shouting to each other across the street. Our shop is small, packed with tiny screws and spare parts for phones. Most of the time, I’m bent over a workbench with a magnifying glass trying to fix a broken screen or a charging port that’s stopped working. It’s fiddly work and makes your eyes tired after a few hours. We get all sorts of people walking in, mostly looking for a quick fix because they dropped their phone on the pavement. The counter is usually cluttered with old boxes and cables we haven't sorted yet. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just a place where things get fixed. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a bit and makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. My cousin helps out on the weekends when it gets really crowded. We try to keep up with all the new models coming out, but it feels like there’s a new one every week. We just do what we can with the tools we have. It’s a busy life on this corner, but we like being right where the action is. Sometimes the internet goes slow which makes testing the phones take longer than we want.
