Metro Instruments

Metro Instruments is located at Sadashiv Peth on NM Road, number 8. If you have ever been to Sadashiv Peth, you know how the lanes are narrow and full of history. Our shop is small because the instruments we deal with are usually quite small too. We work with gauges and measuring tools that need a steady hand. I spend a lot of my time hunched over a workbench with a lamp right over my shoulder. It is quiet work for the most part, which suits me fine. We have customers who come from all over the city because they know we have been here for a long time. The shop smells a bit like oil and old metal, which is a smell I have grown to like over the years. We don't have a lot of space for people to sit down, so most folks just stand by the counter while we check their equipment. The wooden shelves are a bit bowed from the weight of the inventory, but they hold up. We don't do any big promotions or sales events. We just focus on the precision of the tools. Sometimes a student comes in looking for something for a project and we help them find a version that fits their budget. It is a good place to work if you like things to be exact and you don't mind the quiet atmosphere.
