We’ve been here in Vadgaon Sheri for quite a long time now. If you know the area off Nagar Road, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and people moving around. Metlon Engineers is basically just a group of us who show up every morning to get through the work orders. The shop floor is usually pretty loud, and there’s always someone running around looking for a specific tool or checking on a machine. It’s not a fancy place at all. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we mostly just focus on the engineering side of things. Most days start with tea and a quick chat about what needs to be finished by evening. Sometimes the power acts up or the heat gets a bit much, but we just deal with it. It’s a practical setup here at 50/11. We don’t really do big meetings or anything like that; we just talk over the noise of the machines. Pune has changed a lot since we started, with all the new buildings popping up nearby, but inside our gates, it’s still just the same old routine of metal and measurements. People stop by, sometimes they’re lost looking for another unit, and we point them the right way. It’s a decent life, honestly. We work hard, we go home, and we come back the next day to do it again.
