Meta Tech Consultants is based in Budhwar Peth. If you know this area of the city, you know it’s one of the oldest and busiest parts you can find. There is always something happening right outside our windows. The streets are narrow and usually crowded with people and scooters, which gives the whole place a lot of energy. Our office is in an older building that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit steep and narrow. We do consulting work here, which mostly means a lot of talking and looking through stacks of documents. It’s not a quiet place because of the constant noise from the market outside, but we like it that way. It feels like we are right in the middle of real life. We have a few simple desks and some old filing cabinets that have been here since the day we started. Most people who come to see us are used to the general chaos of Budhwar Peth. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or a receptionist; you usually just grab a plastic chair and wait a minute until someone is free. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we’re like a small family. We know the tea seller downstairs by name and he brings us rounds throughout the afternoon. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don't use big corporate words or try to sound more important than we are.
