Meghna Food Studio

You can find us right near the Nakinda bus stop which is a pretty handy landmark for anyone coming up the Mahableshwar Road. Meghna Food Studio is where we spend our hours experimenting with different recipes and setting up plates for photos. It’s not a restaurant where you just sit and eat but more of a workspace where food is the main focus. The road outside stays quite busy with cars going up towards the hills and we often see the buses stopping right by our door. Inside it is usually a bit of a mess with ingredients spread out across the counters and different lights being moved around for shots. We have some heavy tables and plenty of kitchen gear that gets moved from one corner to the other depending on what we are making that day. It can get a bit humid in Nakinda especially during the monsoon months but we just keep the fans going and carry on. Sometimes we have people coming in to help with the prep work and the place feels very full. We don’t really go for a corporate look because it’s a creative spot and things get stained or spilled all the time. It is just a practical place on the way to Mahableshwar where we focus on making food look right and tasting everything we cook up. Most days end with us washing a lot of dishes and planning the next day's menu.
