We’ve been set up here at Uruli Devachi for a good while now. The workshop is at Sr. No. 36/1/1 and 36/3/1, which can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking closely for the signs. Most days it’s just the sound of heavy metal moving around and the guys checking the power units. The floors are rarely clean for more than an hour because of the grease and dust from the road. It gets pretty hot inside during the afternoon, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or just making sure the equipment is packed right for whoever is coming to pick it up. There is a small desk in the corner where the bills get sorted, and it is usually covered in old diaries and pens that barely work. People come by asking for specific parts for their setups, and we spend a lot of time digging through the back rows to find what they need. It is a loud place, especially when the generators are being tested. The neighbors know us by the noise, I guess. We keep the doors open most of the time to get some air moving through the space. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning, just a working shop where things get built and sent out. Sometimes the rain leaks a bit near the back wall, but we moved the important stuff away from there last year.
