If you find yourself in the Nigdi area of Pune, you might come across Mcafee India at 21/3/1 Yamunanagar. The building is called Vyankatesh. It’s a decent enough spot, though parking around here can be a real headache if you arrive too late in the morning. We aren't in one of those huge glass towers you see in the tech parks. Our office is more integrated into the neighborhood, which we actually prefer. It makes the commute a lot easier for some of us. Inside, there are computers and screens everywhere, as you’d expect for a place dealing with technical stuff. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have some fans and an AC unit that works most of the time. We aren't big on formal clothes here. Usually, it's just jeans and shirts while we sit at our desks. We don't have any scripted ways of talking to people. If you call us or come by, you’re just talking to one of the guys who happens to be free. We try to be helpful and solve whatever issues come our way without using too much jargon that nobody understands. It’s just a regular workplace where people drink too much coffee and try to keep things running smoothly for the folks using our services. We’ve been in this part of Pune for a bit and it feels like home. It’s a quiet building most days, which is good for when you need to concentrate.
