You can find Mayur Pan Shop over in Dapodi on Dvg Road. It’s a small place nestled between some other local businesses. I’ve been working here for quite some time now. Every morning, I walk over and open the shutters. The dust from the road always settles on the counter overnight, so I spend the first twenty minutes just cleaning up. Dvg Road can get pretty packed with trucks and bikes during the rush hour. We mostly see the same people every day, like the guys who work at the workshops nearby. They stop by for a break and we chat about the weather or the traffic. The shop itself is pretty narrow. We have shelves going all the way to the ceiling to hold our stock. It’s a bit of a climb to get things from the top sometimes. I try to keep everything organized, but it gets messy when we are busy. We don't really do any advertising or anything like that. People just see the name Mayur Pan Shop on the board and come in. We don't have a lot of extra help, so I do most of the work myself. It’s a long day, starting early and closing late, but it’s what I know. The neighborhood is okay, and we get along with the other shop owners. We just focus on our own work and try to keep the customers happy enough to come back tomorrow. The Dvg Road is always full of surprises, sometimes there is a parade or a protest that stops everything. We just sit back and watch from our little counter in Dapodi. It is never a dull moment around here, even if the work itself is repetitive.
