Maxima Furniture

We are located at 41499 Karve Nagar. It’s really close to the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha, so most people use that as a landmark to find Maxima Furniture. The shop is usually filled with the smell of wood and polish almost all the time. We make furniture like chairs, tables, and cabinets. It’s all hands-on work here. We start with raw planks and spend a lot of time cutting and sanding. My hands are usually covered in sawdust by noon. It’s a bit of a noisy place with the saws going, but we’re used to it. Karve Nagar is a busy neighborhood with a lot of families, so we see people walking by all the time. Sometimes they stop in just to see what we are building that day or to ask about a repair. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It’s more of a working shop where you can see the projects in different stages of being finished. Some are just frames, others are getting their final coat of varnish. It takes time to get things right, so we don't like to rush the process. We just sit there and work until the piece looks like it should. We’ve got a small team here. We’ve been at this location for a while and we like being part of the local community. It feels good to build something that someone will actually use.
