Manohar Super Market

Manohar Super Market has been a part of Kothrud 38/1 for quite some time now. It’s a typical local grocery store where the aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit in as many things as possible that people might need. From lentils and rice to soaps and biscuits, we have a bit of everything crammed onto the shelves. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what you’re looking for, but I usually know where everything is if you ask. The floor gets a bit scuffed from all the foot traffic, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone decides to do their shopping at once. We get a lot of families from around this part of Kothrud coming in. I’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in on their own to buy snacks. It makes the place feel like more than just a shop. We don't have those fancy scanners that work perfectly every time, so sometimes things take a little longer at the register. It gives us a chance to chat with the regulars about the weather or how the local roads are doing. Stocking the shelves is a never-ending job, and there are always boxes sitting in the corner waiting to be unpacked. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it feels good to provide the basics for the neighborhood. If you’re around Kothrud 38/1, you’ll find us easily enough.
