Maniyar General Store

Maniyar General Store has been sitting here in Nana Peth for a long time now. We are located right on Karve Road, near the Deccan 1 area, which is a place that always has something going on. It’s a typical general store, so we carry a bit of everything that a household might run out of during the week. From soap and shampoo to bags of flour or just some biscuits for tea, it’s all packed onto the shelves here. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit as much as possible so customers don’t have to go elsewhere. You’ll usually find me behind the counter or restocking the back shelves when it’s quiet in the afternoons. Nana Peth is a crowded neighborhood, so we get a lot of foot traffic from people just walking home from work or heading to the market. It gets a bit chaotic on the weekends, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the regular stuff people use every day. If you live around Karve Road, you probably pass by us all the time without even thinking about it. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout a bit to hear the customers, but that’s just life in this part of town. We keep the doors open early and stay until late to make sure people can grab what they need for their homes.
