Manik Mobile is situated in the Kamdenu Estate in Hadapsar. This is a more industrial and commercial area, so we deal with a lot of people who work in the nearby factories and warehouses. Our shop is quite practical and doesn't have any fancy decorations. We focus on fixing phones that get damaged in tough working environments—lots of cracked screens and dust-clogged charging ports. The estate can be quite noisy with trucks moving in and out, but we’ve gotten used to it. Inside the shop, we have a long glass counter where we keep some of the newer phone models and a bunch of used ones that we’ve refurbished. I usually have a few different repair projects going on at once on my desk, so there are wires and tools everywhere. It’s not the most organized looking place, but it works for us. We have a few regular customers from the businesses around Hadapsar who come to us whenever their office phones act up. We don't have any big marketing budget or a team of experts; it’s just me and one assistant who knows his way around a motherboard. We open up six days a week and just take the work as it comes. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, especially when a repair is particularly difficult, but we enjoy the challenge of getting a dead phone back to life.
