Mandar Watch Co. Sales & Service

Mandar Watch Co. Sales & Service is located in the Vasukanan building in Kothrud, right near More Vidyalay. Having a school like More Vidyalay nearby means our mornings and afternoons are filled with the sounds of kids shouting and bells ringing. It’s a lively area to be in. We have been in Kothrud for a long time now, and we’ve seen the students grow up and bring their own kids to the school. Our shop is where we sell new watches, but a lot of our work is the service part. People bring in their old wall clocks that have stopped chiming or their wristwatches that got water inside. We have a small glass counter where we display the new stuff, but the back of the shop is where all the real work happens. It’s full of tiny tools, oil bottles, and spare parts that I’ve collected over the years. Vasukanan is a well-known spot in this part of Kothrud, so we don't usually have to give complicated directions. Just tell people we are near the school and they find us. The shop isn't very modern. We still use an old diary to note down the repairs and we give out paper receipts. It’s just the way we have always done it. Sometimes people just stop by to say hello or to check the time against our wall clocks. We like being a small part of the Kothrud community.
