Manapasand

Our place is tucked away in the Trupati Campus Phase 2 over in Tingre Nagar. We are up on the fourth floor of the B building, flat 403. It is not a shop you can just walk into from the street, which makes things a bit different for us. Lane number two in Dhalori is usually pretty quiet, except for the delivery bikes coming and going. Manapasand started out small and it still feels that way. Most of our day is spent in the kitchen or on the phone taking orders from people in the neighborhood. The flat is often full of the smell of whatever we are cooking that day. We have to be careful about the noise so we do not bother the neighbors too much. Sometimes the elevator is broken and we have to carry everything up the stairs, which is a real workout. We do not have a big team, just a few of us working together in the space we have. It gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of orders to get out at once. We use the dining table as a desk and the balcony for storage. It is a home-turned-business, so it has that lived-in feel. We just try to get the food right and make sure it reaches people while it is still hot. It is a lot of work running things from a flat, but we like being in this part of Tingre Nagar.
