Man Mandir

Man Mandir is located at 1093 on Bajirao Road. We’re right across from the Janata Sahakari Bank on the 3rd road. It’s a busy spot in Pune, and there’s always someone walking by or a bike parked out front on the curb. The shop has been here for years. It’s a bit of a tight space inside because we try to keep as much as we can on the shelves for people to see. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a lot of people in at once, but we manage to find what’s needed eventually if we look hard enough. The floor is old tile and the fan on the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it keeps the air moving when the heat gets bad. We aren't a big department store with bright lights and music. It’s just a regular shop where we do our business every day. Most of the people who come in are locals who have been living in the area for a long time. We know a lot of them by their first names. We don't have a big social media page or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day and doing what we do. It’s a simple life, really. We open the shutters, sweep the front, and wait for the first person to walk in. It’s just how things are done here on Bajirao Road in Pune.
