Heritage Hardcraft Emporium

You can find us at 323, M.G. Road, which is usually a pretty busy stretch of road. Heritage Hardcraft Emporium is basically a place where we keep all sorts of handcrafted items we've collected or had made. The shop floor is often a bit crowded because we try to fit a lot in. It’s not the kind of place with perfect lighting or fancy displays. It’s more about the actual items sitting on the shelves or leaning against the walls. We spend a lot of time dusting things off and moving furniture around to make space for new arrivals. M.G. Road has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed in this same spot. People stop by when they’re looking for something specific for their house, like a heavy wooden chest or a small brass piece. Sometimes they just want to look around, and that’s fine too. We aren't really into big sales pitches. If you like something, you like it. The back room is where we do some of the polishing and minor repairs if a piece gets a scratch during transport. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy things and making sure nothing breaks. The fans are always humming, and there’s usually a bit of sawdust in the air. It’s just a regular local shop running the way it always has. We keep our own hours mostly, and things move at their own pace here. We enjoy it.
