Mahavir Steel Industries Ltd is based at E/4/24 in the Bhosari Industrial Estate. This is a place where you really feel the industrial side of the city. The air is often filled with the sound of clanging metal and the hum of heavy machinery from the nearby units. Our own space is basically a large shed where we store our steel inventory. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved in our daily routine, and we use several different types of equipment to get the job done. The floor is made of thick concrete and is covered in scratches from years of moving heavy loads. We have a tiny office partitioned off in one corner where we keep our records and handle the phones. It’s usually quite dusty, no matter how much we try to clean it. Most of the people who come by are truck drivers or other local contractors. Bhosari is a very busy area, and the roads are often packed with vehicles carrying all sorts of raw materials. We’ve been at this E/4/24 location for many years now, and not much has changed in that time. We know the other business owners on our street, and we often help each other out with small favors. It’s a tough, honest environment to work in. We don't have any air conditioning or fancy furniture, just a few sturdy fans and some wooden stools. It’s just the way things are done in the steel trade.
