Maharashtra Watch Co

Maharashtra Watch Co is located in the MB Classic Building, specifically over in the G, H, and I blocks in Chinchwad East. It’s a bit of a walk to get to our door if you aren't familiar with how the building is laid out, but once you find us, it’s a pretty straightforward setup. We have shelves lined with old parts and boxes that have been there for years. The work we do is mostly about patience. You can't hurry when you are trying to fit a tiny screw into a watch movement. Chinchwad East has grown a lot, and there are many more buildings now, but we just keep doing what we’ve always done. We handle wall clocks too, the big ones that people have in their living rooms. Sometimes we have to go out to someone’s house if the clock is too heavy to carry, but mostly people bring their things to us. The shop stays quite cool in the afternoons because of the way the building is built. We sit at the bench and listen to the various ticks and hums of the machines. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s just a place where things get fixed. We usually have a cup of tea around four o’clock while we look over the work for the next day. It’s a steady routine that suits us just fine.
