Mahalaxmi Mini Market

Mahalaxmi Mini Market is our little store in Kothrud, right near the Tata Garden area. It’s a nice spot because of all the trees, even if the parking around here is a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We’ve been running this place for a long time now. Inside, it’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the racks for snacks and cold drinks, but people seem to find what they need. We get a lot of morning walkers coming in for water or biscuits after they finish their exercise in the garden. My brother and I take turns behind the counter, and we have one boy who helps with the heavy lifting and cleaning. The lights in the back section are a bit dim, but we haven't gotten around to fixing them yet. Dealing with the distributors is the hardest part of the job, especially when they forget to bring the specific brands people ask for. Kothrud is a busy part of town, so there is always someone walking by. We aren't trying to be some fancy department store. We just want to make sure the local families can get their eggs and flour without having to drive too far. The fridge makes a bit of a humming noise that you get used to after a while. It’s a simple life here, just keeping the shelves stocked and saying hello to the regulars every day.
