Mahalaxmi Metal

Mahalaxmi Metal is based out of Hinjawadi. If you know this area, you know how much it has changed from being just fields to a massive hub. We are more on the practical side of things, dealing with metals and hardware. Our place is usually full of heavy items, and there is always the sound of metal clanging or trucks unloading in the background. It is a bit of a dusty business, honestly. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; we spend most of our time out where the stock is. People come to us when they need specific metal parts or materials for construction and repairs. Hinjawadi is always under construction somewhere, so there is usually a lot of demand for what we carry. We don't do fancy brochures. We just tell people what we have and what the price is. It’s a very direct way of doing business. The sun can get pretty brutal here, so we usually have some shade set up where we sit and keep the records. We’ve got stacks of pipes and sheets that we have to move around manually or with a small crane. It’s physical work and your hands get dirty within the first ten minutes of the day. But we like it that way. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset, which is fine with us.
