Mahalakshmi Mobile Shopee is in unit 58 of the Emperor Tower in Katraj. It is a busy spot. People are always moving through the tower, and many of them pop in because they need a new screen protector or their charger stopped working. We have a lot of different accessories hanging on the walls. It is a compact space, so we have to stay organized or we would never find anything. We spend our time talking to customers about different phone models and trying to fix software glitches. Katraj is a lively place to be. You can hear the noise from the street even from the building entrance. We get a lot of students and office workers coming in. Sometimes we have to send a phone out if the repair is too complicated, but we do most of the small stuff right here on the counter. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us and our tools. We try to keep the glass cases clean, but there are always fingerprints from people looking at the displays. It is a basic setup. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they have to wait for a repair. We just go through the day handling one phone at a time and making sure people can stay connected. Life here is mostly about checking signals and testing batteries for whoever walks in.
