Living and working around Khadki Bazar 16th Cross Chokkasandra 7 has its own rhythm. At Mahadev Super Market, we open up early because that’s when the milk trucks come and the neighbors start heading out for their morning errands. The shelves here stay pretty full with the basics everyone needs like rice, soap, and snacks. It’s a tight space sometimes, especially when we get a big delivery and have to stack boxes in the aisles for a few minutes while we sort things out. We know most of the people who come in by their first names or at least by what they usually buy. The 16th Cross area gets quite dusty in the summer, so we’re always wiping down the counters. We aren't a giant chain store, just a local spot where you can grab what you forgot to buy earlier. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the lanterns for a bit, but we keep the doors open anyway. We don't have fancy displays or those bright lights you see in malls. It’s just a plain market where the prices are fair and we try to keep things organized. If a bag of flour breaks, we clean it up and move on. Being here in Chokkasandra feels right because we’re part of the street. It gets noisy with the traffic outside, but inside we’re just focusing on getting customers what they need so they can get back home.
