Mahadev Super Market

Our shop, Mahadev Super Market, is located in Ulwe at Plot 7. We are in Shop Number 4 of the Ocean Park building in Sector 23. This part of the city is still developing, so things are changing every month. We moved in because we saw more families moving into the new apartments nearby. We stock all the basic things a house needs, like grains, oils, and snacks. It is a small shop, so we have to use every bit of shelf space we have. Sometimes the bags of rice are stacked right up to the ceiling. My family helps me run the place. We start early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, to get the fresh milk and bread ready for the early birds. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy sacks and cleaning the floors. We don't have any big marketing plans. We just try to have what people ask for when they walk in. If a customer wants a specific brand of tea, we try to get it for them by the next week. The dust from the construction around Sector 23 is constant, so we are always wiping down the counters. It’s just a normal neighborhood grocery store. We know our regulars by name and they know us. It’s a busy life, but it’s good to be part of the community here. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a reliable place for the locals who live around here.
