We set up M. K. Porta Cabin Solutions over in Chikhli. The exact spot is Gat No. 1537/3 at Sonwane Wasti. A good landmark is the Mahalaxmi Weigh Bridge, we are right behind that. This area is mostly industrial and a bit dusty, but it works for what we do. We have a good amount of space here to build and store the cabins. You can usually see a few of them lined up in different stages of being finished. It’s mostly metal work and welding going on during the day. The sound of the grinders is pretty constant. We aren't a big office with air conditioning; it's a working yard. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know the drill. Sometimes the rain makes the ground a bit muddy, but we keep the work moving regardless. It’s a hands-on business. People come by to see the cabins in person before they decide on anything. We just show them what we’ve got sitting in the yard. It’s practical, solid work. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our days are spent out there with the tools. Chikhli is growing fast, so there’s always something happening nearby. We’re just glad to have our own corner here to get things built. It's a simple operation, really. We just build things that last and try to stay busy every season.
