Lokmanya Stores

You will find Lokmanya Stores at 190 Nana Peth, right across the road from Kirad Hospital. We are a traditional neighborhood store, and we have been serving the people around here for a long time. The shop is packed with all sorts of daily essentials, from bags of rice and dal to soaps and small kitchen items. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to keep everything people might need in stock. We open up early every morning, often before the sun is fully up, to get ready for the first customers. You see a lot of the same faces every day, people stopping in for their morning milk or some items they forgot for dinner. We don't have a computer system or fancy neon signs. Most of our work is done by memory and simple paper records. It’s a lot of lifting heavy crates and climbing ladders to reach the top shelves. The floor is old and the wooden counters have seen better days, but that’s just how it is. We aren't trying to compete with the big supermarkets in the malls. We just want to be the place where the locals can get what they need quickly and have a quick word about the neighborhood. It’s a simple business, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and the customers happy.
